Description:

• The period for applying for a work permit while studying has been amended to “up to 1 year”.
• If a student applies for a one-year work permit on November 30 of the same year after completing the first semester of the academic year, the maximum period of the work permit can only be issued from the date of approval to September 30 of the same year.
• If a student applies for a one-year work permit on July 31 of the same year, the maximum work permit period can only be issued from the date of approval to September 30 of the same year.
• If a student has attached a certificate of enrollment for the 1st semester of the current academic year and a work permit has been issued on August 10 of the current year, the work permit shall be issued for a period of one (1) year from the date of approval, i.e., until August 9 of the next year.
• If a fresh graduate has already graduated, his/her work permit will be invalidated immediately.
• A work permit loses its validity due to suspension, withdrawal, or graduation. Therefore, you may no longer work with the work permit, or you will be in violation of Article 43 of the Employment Service Act.
