Application Period
- Students who wish to apply for the 2026 IIPP may begin submitting their applications from January 12, 2026(implementation period begins on June 1).
- 2026 Program Period: June 2026-February 2027.
Application
Abroad students should finish the application based on deadlines.
For the 2026 program period (June 2026 – February 2027):
- Students arriving in Taiwan between June and July 2026 must complete their application by February 13, 2026.
- Students arriving in Taiwan between August and October 2026 must complete their application by April 15, 2026.
- Students arriving in Taiwan between November and December 2026 must complete their application by July 15, 2026.
Quota
2026’s call will offer 600 vacancies.
Internship Duration
Duration from 28 days to 90 days (no extension), PI will arrange the vacancies during application period.
Contents
Interns conduct relevant research according to the topics and fields of the participating projects. During the internship, the PIs should give appropriate guidance and assist the interns to communicate with Taiwanese students as well as learn more about Taiwan.

PI (manage vacancies) and Applicants should directly finish the application on the main website(IIPP)
- Each PI could provide max. 2 vacancies. Based on the policy, each PI could accept 1 applicant. If applicants are from different countries, PI could accept additional one. (2026.6.12 updated).
- We recommended that interns should finish the application based on deadlines. IIPP system will be regularly closed for assessment each month.
- Students with foreign nationality(excluding Mainland China, Hong Kong & Macau), who are enrolled at foreign colleges or universities;Students could not obtain other Taiwan Govenmental Scholarship or join other funded program at the same time.
- Interns shall submit a closure report online on 21th per month while finishing the intern program or early termination and give presentations if required.
- Interns need to sign the receipts and the internship fund will be offered based on the exact Posting Date of IIPP fund.
- IIPP office will cofirm students’ internship status and report. After confirmation, PI will need to fill required information in the system. Then the office will tranfer the service fees afterwards.
- Interns, who applied before, will need to re-verify the account.
