【Overseas Students】Points System (Scoring Criteria) （2024）

If overseas Chinese, Hong Kong, and Macao students and foreign students (hereinafter referred to as overseas students) intend to stay in Taiwan after graduation, please refer to the following instructions. 

• According to “Qualifications and Criteria Standards for foreigners undertaking the jobs specified under Article 46-1-1 to 46-1-6 of the Employment Service Act”, Article 5-1
• Application period: January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024 
• Number of permitted persons: 7000
• Application procedure:
  1. The employer shall submit the Application Form for Work Permit of Employing Foreign Professionals and related documents to the Ministry of Labor for an employment permit.
  2. If the accumulative points calculated by the Ministry of Labor by Article 5-1 of the Regulations and Standards (such as the attached file) have reached 70 points, it is eligible for overseas students to apply.
• Relevant regulations, announcements, and application forms are posted at the Workforce Development Agency "EZ Work Taiwan / Overseas Chinese or Foreign Student Graduated stay and work in Taiwan".
