Feng Chia University Reaches a 98.71% Enrollment Rate for 2025, Leading All Private Comprehensive Universities in Taiwan

The Ministry of Education officially announced the freshman enrollment rates for Academic Year 2025 on December 29. Feng Chia University stood out with an impressive enrollment rate of 98.71%, ranking first among all private comprehensive universities in Taiwan. Among large universities with more than 5,000 admissions quotas, Feng Chia University also ranked fourth nationwide, trailing only behind National Cheng Kung University, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, and National Taiwan University—demonstrating its strong appeal to prospective students and solid institutional competitiveness.

According to the Ministry of Education’s data, some smaller or highly specialized institutions may reach a 100% enrollment rate. However, for comprehensive universities with more than 5,000 available seats and no reserved quotas, sustaining a 98.71% enrollment rate is an exceptionally challenging feat. Feng Chia University’s ability to maintain such performance despite a large admission base reflects its long-standing educational quality and strong social trust, making it a top choice for both students and parents.

President Vey Wang of Feng Chia University stated that the university continues to distinguish itself among large institutions by embracing innovation, proactively planning, and creating a “second curve” in its development trajectory. In Academic Year 2025, it ranked sixth nationwide in the number of approved undergraduate research projects by the National Science and Technology Council. The university has been ranked No. 1 among private comprehensive universities in the Cheers Magazine “University Presidents’ Performance Evaluation Survey” for ten consecutive years.
